Since its establishment in 1997, Hsin Lu Laundromat has always held on to the mission of serving the mentally and physically handicapped by offering job opportunities to them and developing their employment potentials. Giving them fish is not as good as giving them a fishing pole. Therefore, the DSA planned to turn the clothes donations into double happiness. The DSA is grateful for the support from member companies to donate second-hand clothes during October through November and arranged for volunteers from member companies to visit the Tze Yu Shelter Workshop in New Taipei City in the middle of November to refurbish donated clothes together with the mentally challenged.
By pooling together the strength of member companies, the DSA used love and smiles to provide double happiness to Hsin Lu by leveraging laundromats not only to help the mentally and physically handicapped fulfill their potential but also to inform the society that the Hsin Lu angels can function as service providers. Meanwhile, with the passion and smile of direct sellers, it is expected that the charity sale in Huashan 1914 Creative Park on December 2 (Saturday) will demonstrate our selling abilities characterized by sharing and communication. The kindness of the members will be transformed into actual and solid support for the smiling angels. The proceeds from this charity sale will all be donated to the Hsin Lu Foundation. In addition, the DSA will additionally donate NT$100,000 in the name of all members.

The 2017 Union of Legal and Code of Ethics Practitioners was held on November 1 at the Okura Prestige Taipei. In this event, Mr. Mulder Fan, Regional Director, Ethics Leadership & Director, Legal Affairs (Taiwan) of Nu Skin Greater China, and Mr. Dylan Wu, Group Vice Director of Popcorn Digital Company, were invited to give keynote speeches on the "Implication of the Control of Micro Distribution in Mainland China to the Impact of the Social Media Commerce on the Multilevel Marketing Industry" and "Digital Marketing and the Multilevel Marketing in the Internet Era." They guided the discussion of the impact of the digital era on the multilevel marketing industry as well as the resultant changes, and proposed solutions with respect to marketing work in a digital environment. Representatives from member companies all showed keen interest in these topics and exchanged their experiences, and brought a successful and fruitful conclusion to the event.
he Legal Affairs Committee of the Direct Selling Association conducted the Fourth Quarter Legal Seminar at Amway on November 10. In this seminar, Secretary General Yi-pang Tung of the Labor Law Promotion Association of the R.O.C. and Mr. Shu-tung Kuo, Director of the Labor Inspection Office of New Taipei Government and current Mediator of the Labor Law Promotion Association, gave keynote speeches on the "Exploration and Research on Case Studies of the Most Recent Labor Laws and Regulations" and "Occupational Safety and Labor Inspection" to share their expertise on how current employers can safeguard the basic labor rights and interests of workers and how to properly face the government's "labor inspection." Representatives from member companies all showed keen interest in such topics, and enthusiastically provided their feedback and raised questions, resulting in a successful and fruitful conclusion to the seminar once again.
