The Direct Selling Association (DSA) conducted a group training program titled "Double-B Experience Camp" on October 23. Vice President Chen-Yi Chen of Jet-Go Consulting Group, who is particularly well-versed in creative public relations
techniques, was invited to conduct creative training from the perspective of a public relations practitioner in order to enhance the public relations creative, as well as the knowledge members need in the direct selling industry. Instead of conducting traditional curriculum-based pedagogy, the Public Affairs Committee and the members' representatives guided group interactive learning and reflective thinking. On October 31, 2019, the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) promulgated the Partial Amendments to the Regulations for the Establishment and Administration of Multilevel Marketing Participants Protection Institutes, which are highlighted below: (1) the mission of a protection institute to evaluate the internal dispute resolution mechanisms of a multi-level marketing enterprise is added so
as to achieve self-regulation of the industry and expand the participation of multi-level marketing enterprises; and (2) it is specifically stipulated that the entity that accepts a mediation application shall be the protection institute, and that, for the sake of clarity, the provisions concerning the period in which mediation meetings shall be conducted are revised so that the period is calculated by "working days."
