FTC's Planned Partial Amendments to the Regulations for the Establishment of Multilevel Marketing Protection Foundation and Participants

Relevant amendments are highlighted below:
1.Additional requirements for the protection foundation's assistancewith the establishment of dispute resolution mechanisms by multi-level marketing enterprises (Article 3 as amended).
2.Addition and revision of the criteria for discharging directors and supervisors in accommodation of the Foundations Act (Article 16 as amended).
3.Partial literal revision of the compensation and recovery systems to clarify the provisions concerning the requirement that a distributor shall transfer its claims over a multi-level marketing enterprise to the protective foundation so that the protection foundation can obtain the right of claims over the multi-level marketing enterprises (Article 29 as amended).
4.Addition of the requirement that the court cost and attorney's fee which shall be returned by a distributor in economic distress may be reduced or waived (Article 30 as amended).
